Successful Case Studies with PURLs

  • A regional theater used PURLs to skyrocket their membership. They purchased a list of "ideal" patrons and prompted their audience to access their personalized URL. At their site, contacts provided additional information on their favorite types of productions in exchange for a sweepstakes entry for a free theater tickets. The campaign was a success and the theater grew a large, pre-qualified list of prospects for future marketing efforts.
  • A software company had grown through acquisition and was concerned that its customers were unaware of the full range of its product offerings. To improve its cross-selling opportunities, they created a personalized URL program that brought together all aspects of its business. They then targeted existing customers with the PURL campaign to educate customers about capabilities.
  • A school wanted to accomplish several goals among their alumni target market:

    The school used a PURL postcard featuring the recipient's yearbook cover on the front. The landing page invited them to update their personal data and current employment. The PURL page also linked them to the school's social media site and their online store. The campaign not only allowed alumni to reconnect to their school in new ways but it also helped the school with reaching their goals.
