One of our newest clients is a medical laboratory that is a world leader in rapid, point-of-care diagnostics. Utilizing its patented technologies, this lab has developed and introduced over 50 different, one-step/rapid tests in the areas of fertility, infectious diseases, drugs of abuse, tumor markers, cardiac markers, veterinary and environmental diagnostics.
When Proforma placed the first telephone call to them, we quickly learned that the timing was just right. The lab told Proforma about a packaging project for one of their products, a pregnancy test. These tests are sold at Wal-Mart stores around the country, so the volume for this packaging solution would be high.
The lab had problems in the past with color variations between the carton and display. Proforma, however, could provide a solution that allowed the client to build their graphics files differently to overcome the color variation issue. But this was only half the project. The other challenge was the freight costs.
Proforma identified a transportation services provider that could save the client significant money on each and every shipment. Between Proforma experience in packaging and the ability to tap into a variety of solution providers, it is clear that the relationship with the lab will be long-lasting and successful for both parties.
