Saving the Senior Class – A Wearables Case Study

First Order: 300 T-shirts, 300 Boxer Shorts
Latest Order: 5 Palette of Wearables

Proforma has become the “go-to guy” for a local high school. 2 years ago, Proforma became aware of a problem that the Senior Class at the school was having. A competitive supplier had provided the Senior Class with t-shirts and boxer shorts, but had really messed up the job. To make matters worse, the supplier was trying to hold the students responsible for their error, but had no proof.

To start with, Proforma met with the Senior Class representatives and their counselor and offered to see what they could do to help. Soon, Proforma sat down with the Senior Class representatives at the computer graphics workstation in Proforma's office, and got to work. The kids brought sketches of their design ideas, and together they would create the logo, print the finished draft in color and then the kids would take the proof to their counselor for approval. Proforma knew that this formula would leave no room for misunderstandings, which was the problem with the previous supplier.

When a design was chosen, the school placed an order for 300 t-shirts and 300 boxer shorts. The boxer shorts presented a slight “wrinkle.” The school administrators wanted to be sure that the boxers did not have a front fly, so Proforma had special no front fly boxers made. Now the administration was happy. On top of that, the students wanted their logo design to glow-in-the-dark. So, Proforma identified a supplier who was able to apply a special coating to the gold and purple logo to make it glow-in-the-dark. Everyone, students and administrators, were thrilled with the results.

The result of this project 2 years ago is even more projects from the school. The following year, they contacted Proforma to do shirts for the entire student body. So Proforma repeated the now tried and true formula with each class representative. This order involved 300 shirts per class. This year, Proforma received an order for the entire student body and the clubs, which led to the school Boosters, golf team, and basketball team. In total, the order was for nearly $50,000. Time and time again, Proforma has proven that they can meet the exact needs of the school, both students and administrators, which can be a challenge in and of itself!

Proforma loves the combined efforts involved in making these projects a success. The kids are just thrilled to see their designs come to life before their eyes, and Proforma knows that there is little room for error when everyone is involved.
