PROFORMA USES CLEVER PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS TO HELP FITNESS CLUB BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

Newton, PA – 06/2006 – FITNESS CLUB FINDS PROMOTIONAL IDEA RIGHT UNDER THEIR NOSES

The Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) is a community-based facility that offers fitness and wellness programs for adults and kids, as well as an onsite spa/salon and café. This past winter, the club wanted to present members with a practical-but-unusual thank-you. Greg Stefanowski, principal of Proforma NS Print (branch of asi/300094), suggested the TissueKup, a tissue dispenser designed to fit into the cup holder of a vehicle.

"The Kup was chosen because I saw it advertised in Advantages magazine," Stefanowski says. "The gym has thousands of kids and a daycare center, etc., hence in the winter, runny noses are everywhere. I just thought it would be practical and unique." NAC liked the idea, too. Stefanowski says, "It showed that they cared enough to realize people were always scrambling for tissues in the gym and in their vehicles. They were thinking of the kids and how to help the parents – that was a sign of going the extra mile for their clients."

The product, supplied by TK Cups (asi/90480), was imprinted with the NAC logo and handed out at the facility's Kids' Club when parents and children checked in. The club distributed 1,000, and Stefanowski reports that the promotion was an overwhelming success: "The objective was to brand and create goodwill in the middle of the cold and flu season. Mission accomplished!"
